Discussion with Jason Jones, Founder of the Vulnerable People Project

Jason Jones is the Founder and President of the Vulnerable People Project, which aims at raising awareness of human rights atrocities across the world and providing aid to those in need. In this podcast, Jason and Dr. Bill Saunders talk about VPP's efforts to free captive bishops in Communist China. We are proud to announce the publication of a research paper from the Center for human rights. It addresses the topic of this podcast, which is the establishment of illegal policing and surveillance stations by the Chinese Communist party in America and other countries. To read this research paper visit https://arts-sciences.catholic.edu/ac...

The Catholic University of America and its Center for Human Rights is honored to support the work of activist Chen Guangcheng, who is a Distinguished Fellow at the University. His is a voice that defines this generation’s fight for human rights throughout the world. Blind from a young age and a self-taught lawyer, Guangcheng has spent his life fighting for the rights of the disabled and marginalized in China. He exposed the atrocity of the Chinese Communist Party’s forced abortions, leading to his captivity. Guangcheng’s cry for justice, after enduring years of brutal torture at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party, shocked the world and opened his path for a new life of activism in the haven of the United States, after his harrowing, and miraculous, escape from house arrest.

Through the support of the Center for Human Rights, Guangcheng broadcasts his message for justice in both English and Chinese from the heart of Washington, D.C. His gripping story, a true odyssey for justice, is recounted in his memoir.

Families of Service Members Killed in Afghanistan Give Testimonies | EWTN News Nightly

It was an emotional day in California on Monday. Gold Star families of the 13 service members killed during a suicide bombing at the Kabul airport in 2021, spoke at a Congressional forum, giving powerful testimony and demanding answers from the Biden Administration.

The bombing took place amid the chaotic US withdrawal from Afghanistan, which among other things saw thousands of Americans left behind, billions of dollars of military equipment discarded and a region destabilized.

Jason Jones with the Vulnerable People Project, whose non-profit organization has helped hundreds in Afghanistan amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis, joins to share his thoughts on the Congressional forum. Many of the members talked about how they felt betrayed and even lied to by the Biden Administration about what happened at abbey gate and the bombing there. Jones tells us what he thinks will come from this forum and what his hope is. He fills us in on what else he is following regarding Afghanistan.

Jason Jones, former Director of Youth Outreach, Rock for Life, appears on CBN's "NewsWatch" to promote American Life League's 2nd Annual Pro-Life T-Shirt Day.

Anchor Team 130: Jason Jones and the Vulnerable People Project

UPDATE: Please note that the time for this evening's show has been moved to 9:30 pm ET. Jason will be joining us live from Lahaina.

Jason Jones is a film producer, author, activist, popular podcast host, and human rights worker. He is president of the Human-Rights Education and Relief Organization (H.E.R.O.) known for its two main programs The Vulnerable People Project and Movie to Movement.

In 2006, Jones was an Executive Producer of "Bella," which won several film industry awards, most notably the People's Choice Award at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival. In 2009 Jason was an associate producer of “The Stoning of Soraya M”, winner of the NAACP Image Award and the Los Angeles Film Festival. In 2009 Jones produced the award-winning pro-life short film Crescendo with Eduardo Verastegui and Pattie Mallete (the mother of Justin Bieber). Crescendo raised over 6 million dollars in North America to support pregnancy centers and women’s shelters.

Jason launched the Vulnerable People Project’s Hope for Afghanistan program after receiving a request to rescue a friend’s mother trapped in Afghanistan during the US Military withdrawal. VPP’s Hope for Afghanistan has since grown immensely in the last two years. Since the disastrous US withdrawal VPP has evacuated thousands of religious minorities and former Afghan allies, provided for safe houses in neighboring countries, and worked to resettle vulnerable Afghans.

VPP has delivered over 3 million meals to families in need across Afghanistan; opened a women’s health clinic; drilled wells that provide potable water to several villages; and provided security for schools so children can study and learn safely. At the heart of everything Jason does is a mission to stand between the violent and the vulnerable: from the child in the womb to Christians in Nigeria, to civilians in Ukraine to our former allies in Afghanistan.

His tireless work in the pro-life movement was just recognized in a featured chapter in Legacy of Life, a book honoring fifty of the greatest pro-life leaders of the last fifty years.
