Afghanistan

In Afghanistan, The Vulnerable People Project evacuated hundreds of people in the initial days following the US withdrawal in August of 2021. In the months following, The Vulnerable People Project began supporting US allies and their families along with human rights workers and other ethnic and religious minorities in the safehouses. VPP still has one safehouse with 100 men, women, and children, who would face persecution or death if they return to Afghanistan.

Donate to help us sustain the people in the safehouse and resettle them in a third country:

The Coal for Christmas program began in Afghanistan as a way to help vulnerable religious and ethnic minorities as well as the widows and orphans of our Afghan allies as a cold winter was approaching. What began as a coal distribution has grown into delivering over 3 million meals and 6 million hours of heat worldwide.
